West Baton Rouge Genealogical Society

The West Baton Rouge Genealogical Society was established in 1989 by local residents with a passion for tracing their family history and constructing ancestral family trees.

In its early days, members gathered to share family records, exchange research techniques, and connect over their shared interests. Though the years have passed, the society’s mission remains the same—we continue to meet quarterly in January, April, July, and October to explore genealogy and support one another in uncovering our family roots.
